Carol so enjoyed working on this, her first, children's story--she has wanted to write and illustrate children's books for over 25 years, since her son was born. This is the first book of a few in a Series!

Carol began compiling material for a series of children's books over twenty five years ago, when her son, Matthew, was born. The birth of her son was the catalyst that pushed her to begin writing a collection of poems that were inspired by this time in her life. The origin of this book comes from her desire to revisit that creative side expressed through words, and marry those words with her colorful paintings that are so much a part of her life now. She takes her playful use of color and combines it with a story about some of life's lessons learned by two friends, a charming young barn owl ("Smidgen"), and a determined little badger ("Cedrick"), to create this story that is "Smidgen & Cedrick". Carol enjoys exploring her love of painting and color on a daily basis, and now exhibits her original paintings in fine galleries and museum shows throughout the West.
